The Caribbean Coastal Area Management Foundation (CCAM) in collaboration with the Jamaican National Commission for UNESCO celebrated Earth Day at CCAM’s Salt River location in Clarendon on Friday, 22 April as one of the project activity.
Greetings were brought by Dr Maria Smith, JNC-UNESCO, Presentations were given by Brandon Hay, CCAM, Dainalyn Swaby, Youth Advocate for Climate Change and Jean-Paul Ngome Abiaga, UNESCO Cluster Office for the Caribbean. Students from Vere Technical performed a poem Also performing at the event were singer and climate change advocate, Aaron Silk, as well as artistes Pam Hall, Tafina and Rebellion. Silk, Tafina and Rebellion were climate champions for the Voices for Climate Change Education. It must be noted that this was also CCAM’S birthday.
